A pair of women's elbow length gloves circa 1685 – 1700, of white doeskin leather stained green now faded to blue, flesh side out, the back of hand and fingers embroidered in pink silk and silver thread in a stylised floral design encompassing raised work silver phoenix, three pink silk rosettes to the knuckles, decorative pink silk embroidered flecks and edging to the fingers, edged in pink silk fringing, 41 cm long.
