An unusual pair of crochet crimson silk and silver thread men's gloves, circa 1660, worked in horizontal stripes, the fingers and thumb worked in the round with no seams, with gauntlet of broad silver bobbin lace with repeat clover leaves and scalloped bobbin outer edge, 30 cm long.

Part of the Collection donated to the Livery in 1959 by the late Robert Spence. Conserved 1995 – 1999 with help from the NHLF.
