A pair of embroidered gauntlet cuffs, unpicked and removed from 23386, orange pink on flesh side and yellow on the grain side, circa 1650 – 70,the canvas ground entirely smothered in gold and silver purl and couched gold threads with central pomegranate motif, flowerheads and scrolled edged with broad scallops of bobbin lace threaded with sequins, lined in salmon pink silk, 32 cm long overall.

Part of the Collection donated to the Livery in 1959 by the late Robert Spence. Conserved 1995 – 1999 with help from the NHLF.
