A pair of embroidered gloves, circa 1610 – 30, of white kid stained brown, suede side up, the deep pink satin gauntlet identically lined, each with six tabs edged in loose gold bobbin lace threaded with sequins, embroidered in relief with gold and silver strip and purl wire with columnar flowering plants, the ground entirely spangled with sequins, the wrist with pink silk and gold lace ruffle band, elongated fingers to the plain hand section, the seams with wrong sides together stab stitched, overstitched thumbs. 36 cm long.

Part of the Collection donated to the Livery in 1959 by the late Robert Spence. Conserved 1995 – 1999 with help from the NHLF.
