A pair of men's embroidered gauntlet gloves, circa 1600 – 30, of white kid stained buff, with long extended fingers, with separately embroidered gauntlets each with six square tabs, lined in salmon pink silk, with scarlet ribbon ruffle to the wrist edged in gold embroidery, the ivory satin gauntlets worked in seed pearls, gold thread, purl wire and mainly red and blue silks with a pelican in her piety, foliate circular medallions, borage plants, couched roses, edged in gold bobbin lace threaded with sequins. 35cm long.

Part of the Collection donated to the Livery in 1959 by the late Robert Spence. Conserved 1995 – 1999 with help from the NHLF.
