A pair of men's brown leather gloves with fine roundseam handsewn stitching, dated from 1660 to 1670, designed for fashion and status.

They have elongated exaggerated fingers and are adorned with couched gold threads, purl wire and wine coloured silk flowerheads, edged in gold fringes.
