A pair of ladies' pink handsewn cotton simplex fabric daywear of the 1950's, probably from the USA.

Designed by Lilly Daché, 1892 – 1989, born in Béigles,France, apprenticed to a milliner aunt and emigrated to the USA as a teenager. Founded the house Daché, New York city in the 1920's. Famous for hat designs especially turbans, snoods and half hats.

Donated by Mrs Jane Thomas via Mrs Vi Gratwick, wife of past master John Gratwick.
